A couple of pointers, might be helpful:
- You can use '' (two apostrophes) before and after the text you want to italicize.
- You can use ''' (three apostrophes) before and after the text you want to embolden.
- These two can overlap. So you can use ''''' (five apostrophes) before and after the text you want to italicize and embolden.
Examples:
| This is ''italic''. | looks like | This is italic. |
| This is '''bold'''. | looks like | This is bold. |
| This is '''''bold-italic''''', or just '''something ''italic'' within something bold''' or ''something '''bold''' within italic'', or ''even '''overlapping ''bold '''italic stuff. | looks like | This is bold-italic, or just something italic within something bold or something bold within italic, or even some overlapping bold italic stuff. |
I know the examples suck, but I think they're clear enough.
