Class Features
All of the following are class features of the dragonblood champion.
Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: Dragonblood champions are proficient with all simple weapons, light and medium armor, and shields (except tower shields). A champion can cast champion spells while wearing light armor without incurring the normal arcane spell failure chance. However, like any other arcane spellcaster, a champion wearing medium or heavy armor or using a shield incurs a chance of arcane spell failure if the spell in question has a somatic component (most do). A multiclass champion still incurs the normal arcane spell failure chance for arcane spells received from other classes.

Spells: A dragonblood champion casts arcane spells which are drawn from the sorcerer/wizard spell list. (Also, see the true sorcery class feature.) He can cast any spell he knows without preparing it ahead of time, the way a wizard or a cleric does (see below).
To learn or cast a spell, a champion must have a Charisma score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a champion's spell is 10 + the spell level + the champion's Charisma modifier.
Like other spellcasters, a champion can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day. His base daily spell allotment is given on Table 1-1: The Dragonblood Champion. In addition, he receives bonus spells per day if he has a high Charisma score.
A champion's selection of spells is extremely limited. A champion begins play knowing 4 0-level spells of your choice. At each new champion level, he gains one or more new spells, as indicated on Table 1-2: Dragonblood Champion Spells Known. (Unlike spells per day, the numbers on Table 1-2: Dragonblood Champion Spells Known is fixed.) These new spells can be common spells chosen from the sorcerer/wizard spell list, or they can be unusual spells that the champion has gained some understanding of by study. The champion can't use this method of spell acquisition to learn spells at a faster rate, however.
Upon reaching 5th level, and every third champion level after that (8th, 11th, and so on), a champion can choose to learn a new spell in place of one he already knows. In effect, the champion "loses" the old spell in exchange for the new one. The new spell's level must be the same as that of the spell being exchanged, and it must be at least two levels lower than the highest-level champion spell the champion can cast. A champion may swap only a single spell at any given level, and must choose whether or not to swap the spell at the same time that he gains new spells known for the level.
Unlike a wizard or cleric, a champion need not prepare his spells in advance. He can cast any spell he knows at any time, assuming he has not yet used up his spells per day for that spell level. He does not have to decide ahead of time which spell he'll cast. A dragonblood champion's caster level for champion spells is equal to his class level.
Bonus Feats (Ex): At 1st level, a dragonblood champion gains Draconic Heritage as a bonus feat. (Add the extra class skill granted by this feat to his list of champion class skills as well as his list of sorcerer class skills.) At 2nd level and every three levels thereafter (5th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th, and 20th), he gains an additional bonus feat. These feats must be drawn from the feats noted as draconic feats, as well as any feat with the dragonblood subtype as a prerequisite. A champion must still meet all prerequisites for the bonus feat, including ability score and base attack bonus minimums. (Also, see true sorcery for certain feat prerequisites.)
These bonus feats are in addition to the feats that a character of any class gains every three levels. A champion is not limited to draconic or dragonblood feats when choosing these other feats.
True Sorcery (Ex): Though not nearly as capable as sorcerers in the arcane arts, a dragonblood champion's magic is sorcery. For all mechanical purposes (feat prerequisites, magic items, and so on), treat champion class levels as sorcerer class levels. If the champion has both dragonblood champion and sorcerer levels, those levels stack for the purpose of determining minimum sorcerer level requirements.
For example, a champion could learn wings of bounding, a spell normally available only to sorcerers. A champion casting draconic might as a champion spell would gain a +1 to his caster level as if he were a sorcerer. A 3rd level or higher champion could take Brass Dragon Lineage as one of his feats, as though he had three sorcerer levels.
