I need some help creating this artifact. It's a schitzophranic inteigent ring comprised of a outer casing and a 9 gem spinner inside. the gem at the "face" hole in the case indicates the current personality of the ring. Each personality is also a different allignment.
so i need to figure out which gem means what.

Lets start with a diamond for law/good and obsidian for chaos/evil.
*gag*
the cliche is killing me already...
That that is,is. That that is not, is not. That is all that is.

Then don't go with the cliche. Why not make diamond true nuetral. It has no color, so making all the others have some color would make them stray from true neutral.

I'll try to come up with some more later.
Go ahead, throw the stone. Now watch it disappear.

Nice touch. I like th reasoning. heres what I'm going to use.

1) diamond
2) saphire
3) ruby
4) emerald
5) topaz
6) amathist
7) pearl
8) jade
9) onix

Also, I'm going to need a climate/location for each, because each has it's own conection to a hidden rune in the world.
