Here is one that I hope brings some of the 3.x feel to the 4e table.

Skill Specialization
Heroic Tier
Prerequisite: Training in chosen skill
Benefit: Choose a sub use of a skill in which you have training. You have a +3 feat bonus to checks with that sup use of the skill.
Special: You can take this feat more than once. Each time you select this feat, choose a different sub skill. Will stack with skill focus

In example, with the skill Thievery a Player can specialize in Disable Traps, Opening Locks, Picking Pockets, or doing Slight of Hand.

Any thoughts?

Well, I know very little about 4E, but from what I can see this seems like a perfectly valid feat choice and design (and I have to sigh a little at the fact that you even needed to create it - this seems like such a no-brainer that it should have just been included in the first place).

Me: Great, so now I have Satan in my computer. Like XP wasn't problematic enough.

Hindsight being 20/20, this seems a bit too powerful. A human PC could take this Skill Focus and this feat would get a total bonus of +11 to his roll at first level. That's even before you add in the various modifiers in.

Well of course he must spent 2 feats to do so instead of getting 2 other feats.
Is taking 2 feats just to get +3 on a skill check and another +3 on a specific use of that skill check realy more powerfull than for an example taking toughness and durable feats which instead increase HP and number of healing surges?
If so than simply make it a paragon tier feat.
I wish only only happiness, good luck and health to all of you.
