I'm trying to think out a super strength character and I want to use a two handed weapon but I'm getting very indicisive. I was leaning towards the full blade jsut as a roleplaying thing (I want the bigest sword around :) ) but since I'm pretty sure this char will be the primary dmg dealer I wanted you opinion on other 2 handed weapons, I've only ever used greataxe or a greatsword. Would it be better to get a reach weapon? I usualy play sorcerers and when I'm not I find myself playing barbarians with greataxes so i havent personaly experimented too much with otehr wepons in pnp dnd.

Thnx in advance

Bastard swords and dwarven waraxes are a personal favorit of mine...

A fullblade soundes like your best bet though.

I missed the part about fullblade and almost suggested that again..because that weapon do rock..but anyway there are few of good two handed weapons in Complete Warrior like Heavy Poleaxe and Greatspear. Both does 2d6 damage, and both of them are reach weapons. Greatspear costs 25gp and Heavy Poleaxe costs 20 gp and they require exotic weapon proficiency to be able to use them without penalties.

hmm yeah i think im gonna rock the fullblade it just clicks in my head for this guy to have the bigest sword a human can use, though i was tempted by the mercurial greatsword...i would use a cabre if i could swing it instead of throwing it :) beating people with a tree trunk also appeals to me.

From what I have read though I think a spiked chain would be a nice reach weapon unless you have quickdraw...reach with great cleave and combat reflexes with a char with some dex could be very interesting though..ponders... oh well too late now

thnx guys

For a really big heavy sword, try a mercurial fullblade, which probably is a greatsword for a giant.
and for a double weapon, if your char is strong enough, attach a long thick chain (maybe 15 ft) to that with a spiked ball at the end the size of a basketball. that way he can slash with the sword, then spin the chain to attack from 10 ft away.

I've always liked the double-bladed sword...though an orc crusher is nice too, and it has reach.

From my earlier post.
I call the weapon the Heavy Gyrspike

Heavy Gyrspike
Huge Exotic Weapon
Cost: 1,200 gp
Damage: 3d8/2d8
Crit: x4
Range: --/10 ft
Weight: 55 lb.
Type: Slashing, bludgeoning
Special: Due to it's weight, it can only be used effectively twice per round even if the character has more attacks. All other penalties for exotic weapons are applied as normal.

i got it, i'll shave my head and get a mage to cast continual flame on it then ill get some really spiky red and black armor going...then ill need a to monkeygrip some full blades with lots of spikes on them, but only after i throw a giant bola made of dire porqupines and a dire snake...What kind of bonuses do you think i'd get to intimidate looking like that?

well, woe lemme put out this question, how intimidated would you be if in front of your Skull Rider behemoth was a man dressed in a black cloak with a shadow upon his face darker than what his low hood could provide, obviously unnerved by your fierce warrior, and standing unwaveringly before your overt display of strength.
