In an Adnd game. My 1st lvl wizard convinced an npc 13th lvl evil barbarian ( who theatened to kill me) to show just how strong he was. So, he picks up a boulder 3 times his size ( thanks to a belt of giant strength +6) and I shot him with a ray of enfeeblement and made him drop it on himslef. Killing him, obviously. I got bumped up to 7th level and got the belt. Yay for the coniving wizard!
Just the other day we had revenge of the short one. Our 3rd lvl (7 man) party got etangeled by an assasin vine after stumbleing across a bear killing a boar, both of which inexplicably put aside eons of racial and predatorial difference to attack us... So anywho, the rouge, monk, and ranger all nat1 there reflex saves, bear and boar fail, Grug the barbarian and Natak, my klepto hafling wizard nat 20, the fighter saves and the warlock(OPOPOPOPOPOPOPOPOPOP....) is satnding outside the range with his 250' range eldrich spear. It takes 4 people to cast a spell.
1. Chose the spell
2. argue the useage
3. make a ruling
4. complain about how long it took
In the aftermath it wa ruled that my flaming hands could not burn the vines to give Grug a path to charge, so instead, Natak got a flight on Grug arlines to learn why you don't go naer assasin vines. I rolled max damage with flaming hands, got grappled, got slamed, and was sitting at -7 hp when they finaly killed the thing.
also, on another subject, never use EXPLOSIVE RUNES as an antitheft device on your spell book unless youre Positive noone in the arcane university is looking over your shoulder.

That that is,is. That that is not, is not. That is all that is.
