LOL!!!!

Stuff Like that has happened to me, a player of mine has been a fighter for 3 characters (He's on his 5th) and he resently converted to Sorcerer and Wonders why his attack rating is so low. LOL!!!!!!!

Anyway, resentley a this player lost his his last character to an evil drow and now he's joined with him (Guess he didn't listen when a man in town said that the drow usually ends up killing his henchmen LoL) and I found that he joined this guy guest so he wouldn't have to fight him and would rather help this guy enslave humanity then to fight him (Not to bad except that this character is Good Aligned?!?!?!? LOL!) Point is this character won't do anything that has at least a 20% chance of dieing (When at level 15 he picked on Bugbears and Goblins) so just be glad your characters don't complain as much as he does (Cheap ba#_@d would even buy his own Players Handbook, O well). <_<

I've spent the last year playing 2nd Editin AD&D, that I don't was ran correctly...(I never understood it) and three rounds of 3.5...I started up my own campaign with some friends that want to learn...and a few that are definitely more experienced than me. So it's a learning experience for all of us. I'm really interested in random generators of Crit Hits and Misses, and weapon and armor to keep my player's...and me...on their toes.

I'm a jock at a radio station here in Kansas and my listeners all know that I'm a geek who spends her Friday and Saturday nights gaming. Man...it's crazy how a set of 7 to 10 polyhedrals can make push people over the edge.

Rintaran is right...People are entitled to their religious beliefs...whether it includes many gods...one god...animate...or in-animate objects. Just remember...people who do not believe New Age Beliefs...usually believe that a strange 'T' shape holds immense power...but nothing else. That is also an empowered object.

Also, keep in mind...that "goth" fashion really seems to have nothing to do with what goth really started out as. Gothic Architechture was designed to let light in...not make it darker.

But this is all off topic. We were talking about how players can screw up what you plan out. Like some of the other guys...I'm more into writing my own campaigns. Course...I'm a brand new DM myself...so there's a lot that I bypass...I usually forget everything that my players might pull out. But they're good guys. They know I'm a newbie...and if I get confused about something they're trying to do...or I don't really know how something works...they sit down with me and work through it. I'm really lucky to play with them.

I'm also a quick learner too...so after some of the disators in my first campaign...I started writing a detailed campaign...set in my own little land...and everything I can think of...I have a scenario for...

Example...
A merchant has the item they need...

Buy the item=nothing bad happens...it's a success...

Barter/trade for the item=nothing bad happens...it's a success...

Intimidate the merchant=if the merchant fails his opposing check...gives the item over...but calls the city's guards and tells them the party didn't pay him...then the party has to deal with the guards.
=if the merchant succeeds in his check...he tells the party that they don't scare him...and they are still without the key item...

Steal the item=they deal with the city guards.

Dealing with the guards could result in jail time...or if they try to kill them...they end up having to take on the entire force....yada yada yada.

It's still a loose storyline...but it's mainly there for my short memory...incase I forget something important.

I'm sure that what you come up with to counter they're superb thinking on your last attempt...with keep them on their toes. Maybe send in the dragon's that they killed parents...and for them to keep their lives...they need to undertake a quest from the dragon to keep in good favors...or something like that. Or now they need to be on guard that the two dragon's children could seek revenge for the death of their parents...the possibilities are endless.

have fun!

Your method would really drive me crazy Mia lol ...

My kind of campaign is more political so it is resumed as ....

Organisation - > What they want

What they want <- People -> Possibilities
V
Organisation

So any decision from player to NPC is quickly decided with only a single reference .....

The bigger problem is when an action is taken on political scene, I must judge all the influence that it will do ... if someone go kill the mayor of the hamlet ... or kill a baron ... it is not exactly the same + If an ennemy catch a friendly spy how will it change the troop movements, spells used etc.... it's not as simple as on/off switch, yes/no or 0 - 1 .... .....

Off Topic : I know where got came from ... the cathedral and all yep ... Gothic was a word used to say :" From the city"

But what I meant is that gothic culture is far more than their clothing...it is a cultural and spiritual way of life ....

Off Topic 2: Darius ... you used arguments of the style : Dice and die ... anyway I don't care (don't know the appropriate not slang word) about the correct writing of the word .... as long as you understand what I say .....
