I am biulding an adventure and none of the players is playing a caster that can cast spells beond 5th level exept for the warmage of the party. It means no fly, teleport, invisibility and all divinations whatsoever (exept for true strike :) ). It means that I could use much more simple scemes such as to find who killed the local lord and to bring him to trial and now the challenge is not just to defeat the murderer at combat but also find his identity and location which divinations can give immidiately, and it also means that the murderer can be on much lower CR than the party level to make it still challenging.
Do have any special idea's of a "simple" adventures?
I wish only only happiness, good luck and health to all of you.

Tease the players. Make it extremely apparent who is responcible. He doesn't even have to hide his involvement any further than would be required to avoid incriminating himself in the local legal system. Then make the adventure about linking the murder to the culprit. Of course, if your players aren't the most lawful types and don't mind being charged with murder themselves, this plot will be circumvented in no more than six rounds of combat.
This technique of RPG playing has been passed down the Bloodmooon line for generations!
