i know everyone has had a super sweet moment in dnd and a sucky moment...tell us about them.....
my coolest momment was when i was playing with a wiz/rogue and was fighting a black dragon....(i wasn't alone...3 other players..rogue,pala,fighter) anyway i roled 3 crits in a row and killed it instantly...with a staff...
worst time....this is kinda wierd and sick....i had a elf female druid, lvl 3 and was looking for a map of a town...well i walked up to one house and nocked on the door..before i could react i was snatched inside and grappled by a male half ogre....i tried to talk my way out of it and explain why i was here....he wouldn't listen, eventualy i got him to come to reason(enough not to kill me) he said to get my map i would have to please him...not me he said...not physically aleast....good i thought no sexual actions....he said my mate likes u....what???.....his mate was a half-orc female.....if u get were this goes......well i got the map....
i had another bad exp...i as a druid again and had fininshed a big quest..i rose 5 lvls in it....anyway i was settling down with a another person... my druid got married to a elf sorc...anyway we settled down in the woods and had a wonderfull week of living together....week.....a week goes by and she dies...how??? asassin gets her....poison arrow in the back.....pierces the spine splitting it in half....she dies 2 hours later...slow/painfull....this was the start of a new quest..great start...i even lost my house....it was enourmous..3 stories...built into the side of a great tree...

Worst Moment - I rolled a critical failure with a longbow and as a result according to the dm I shot my self, my face was pierced with the arrow, and the sharp part also partially pierced my brain. The result was that I received -2 on charsima, wisdom and intelligence till I was healed. The healing part wasn't easy, because again, according to her, only a specialized healer can heal such thing.

I wasn't really as mad as I was shocked. First of all, I really don't have any idea exactly how I can shoot my own face with a longbow (I wasn't aiming up, and nor it was mentioned to describe the critical failure).

We were facing modified dire rats at that time, all other players were diseased (not normal diseases, strange and bizzaree modified diseases) and heavily damaged as well.

We all figured out what the reasoning behind this crude attack. After the last session, she asked us for roses and fishes (it's a thing she picked up from a dragon magazine, where roses means the good things about the game, and fishes means bad things about the game. It is supposed to help the dm improve.), so we all gave are roses and fishes, unfortunately there were more fishes then roses, but they are all suggestions. She argued with us for hours about how she thought that she was good enough to receive no fishes, but anyway it was all resolved eventually and she left, only to come back next day and do that to us.

Best Moment : It was my game, and after exactly 47 sessions, and a huge war, the players became heroes and we ended the campaign. It was my first campaign that I actually got to end succesfully, and it was a great feeling.

As a player the best moment would be when I entered an underground cemetary in one of the campaigns I took part in. The dm's descriptions were exquisite, and it was truely creepy due to the background music he was playing. The session took place at night and we only used candles for the lights. It was by far my favorite sessione ever, because I truely felt like I was there in the cemetary and waiting for something horrible to happen.

I've never had any incredibly great or sucky moments, but a friend of mine was playing a rogue, and he dicided to try and steal from an orc. So, he goes up behind the orc, reaches under the loincloth... then realizes, "Oh.. wait... they don't wear anything under there..." After fondling the orc, he ran.. and the orc never even knew.

Another friend in the same campaign had a human fighter who was obsessive compulsive and had to have everything clean. One night, the dwarf barbarian of the group (who had a pathetic Int score) was standing there as a guard, and he was so stupid that he stood over the fighter... and took a pee on him. The fighter woke up all ticked off (go figure), and the group wandered around for days lookign for a place with nobody around so the barbarian and fighter could duke it out.

My best moment happened the other night, in fact. I was playing a Fighter/Sorcerer (level 1 each) character named Janus Moonstalker. Now, you have to know something about Janus. Not only is he overconfident, but he's a real [BENCH], too. I was sitting in a bar, talking to one of my only friends in the party, a dwarven barbarian named Arbol, about lost loves (both Arbol and I have had tough times in this area). Another party member, a half-orc barbarian named Hozanna, got drunk and swung a chair at me. He missed, but Arbol got mad and punched Hozanna in the face. Not willing to miss a fight, I, too, stood up and punched Hozanna.

Himo, our Druid, got mad and sicced his ape animal companion on Arbol. Meanwhile, the bar's bouncers came over and hit Arbol in the back of the head. Arbol went into a rage and turned on the bouncer.

Meanwhile, Hozanna and I are fighting. However, we have a general party rule: the only people allowed to strike party members are other party members. :) When we saw what was going on with Arbol, Hozanna and I turned on the bouncers and started punching them.

A couple lawful good elves who were regulars in the bar got sick of this fight and tried to intervene. One swung his sword at me -- for subdual damage. Of course, in the thick of the fight, I thought he was making a real swing at me, so I drew my longsword and took a swing at the elf. Meanwhile, our cleric, Lineas Moongaze, slides over and kills one of the other elves with his morningstar.

It quickly turned from a bar fight into a murder scene.

Quickly someone takes another elf down, then a bouncer goes down. The ape and the Druid take off running. I run, too, and jump on my horse, pulling Hozanna with me. We go riding off down back alleys and whatnot. We try to create a diversion by breaking in the window of the weaponsmith's shop, but then Hozanna gets the brilliant idea to light the place on fire. He tumbles off my horse and goes about setting the place on fire. I get the hell out of there.

Meanwhile, our hallucinating fighter, Manji, slits the throats of all the unconscious witnesses to the crimes in the bar. (We knocked out most of the witnesses in our haste to get away, but Manji decided just to kill them.)

Long story short, we finally meet up outside of town. All the witnesses to the bar fight are dead, so our rogue, a gnome named Roguity Andy, suggests we go back to the bar and act like nothing happened. Riding my steed in front of the party, I mange to convince the guard (since I am, as a sorcerer, quite charismatic :) ) that we were out at the brothel all night and have no idea what happened. He lets us have our rooms back and no one has any clue we caused all the trouble!

On the other hand, my worst moment was when this awesome Paladin I had failed a jump check and fell down a bottomless pit. That sucked because she was really, really cool.

Bad#1: With my Dwarven Barbarian I hit 3 crit misses in a row, 1st time i hit myself in the head with my dwarven waraxe, 2nd time i hit my friend while trying to throw it dealing 15 dam(which was my max at the time), 3rd i tried to throw my axe again and to my avail i got hit on the noggin again and fell unconcious for 1d4 rounds

Bad#2: I was ambushed by a horned demon shortly after the 3 crit misses, died in the process.

Bad#3: After i was resurected I was effected by an iron golem's breath weapon taking me down to 1 con, and then had to make 3 more checks after, I barely hit and passed all three...those were the best rolls i had that night.

Good: I had my axe ugraded in town after the battle with the iron golems.

Good: (This one happened just last night) My 2nd level Cleric used his smite domain ability on the owlbear that had attacked our camp and was busy mauling our paladin. I got a critical hit on top of the smite ability, dealt out 22hp of damage and dropped it. Praise be to St. Onduin!

Bad: My (very high level) party had just blown the crap out of a githyanki outpost. We stepped into a room that had a permanent gate to the Astral Plane, which the githyanki were going to use for a full invasion force. It was then that we were ambushed by the invisible red dragon in the room. My wizard failed his save and was fried by the breath weapon. For whatever reason, I couldn't be raised, so my [sarcasm]very generous[/sarcasm] DM allowed me to float along with the party as a spirit, making small objects move and able to write messages out on dusty walls and such... Great. From a 20th level wizard to a poltergeist. What a great adventure that was.

Best .... combat ... Umber Hulk ... VS the party ....

The thief of the crew saw a gigantic rabbit hole, for him it sounded more like:"who's the dumbass unable to hide a treasure like this? " ... he looked in the hole to see two luminous spots. The pincer of the creature took a part of the elf and the two uppercuts easily sent the curious trough the air.... Skirm (fighter 2) approached him to know if he was okay .... completely confused Mentheith (thief 7) gave a critical called shot with his dagger at Skirm's throat who was immediatly healed by Tonhorin's last potion (Barb 6). Then the true combat began...

Ton ran in front of the beast to protect mentheithwich was running in a random direction. One blow from Ton's axe wasn't enough as you probably know. The right arm of the hul sent the axe rolling near the stabilized Skirm but the second hit blank point on Ton's face. he tried his best with his hidden small axe but the creature hide was just too tough. So Ton was caught in the pincer's and sent to the ground, smashed and squashed, all the pression was curving down his armor. (2 rounds later). Deruwyn(ranger 5) finaly decided to act. he came with his bow and shot to distract the hulk while the barbarian took his axe back .... and menteith was out of the confusion .....

Worst hmmm ....
sir Raynard one of my most important politician was supposed to go to a meeting to sign an alliance with another city... the pc just didn't know about that and decide to use the sovereign glue and the mattock of the titan I gave him ..... he destroyed the floor in front of raynard's door (at the second floor) and glued the whole door with sovereign glue .....

So the last two campains I have been involved in amout to Girl like boy boy likes girl... turns out girl was going out with boy to see if she was a lesbian or not and then they hate eachother or something, but it was bad.

My second campain went down the tubes when two of my players got together and then it worked out, not time to game now they spent twentyfour hors a day with eachother... conclusion players should not have social lives

Those were my dm Moments... these are my player moments

Yay for Teral Elderleaf(the now epic level character) he was a 1st level druid with a 19 ac and a little spell known as Shilleghleigh... so ther we were in the ancient dwarven castl searching for the avatar of Gellimlisk the Orc-slayer. We entered a room and their were maybe 50 orcs in a first level campain... I was scared because of the whole not likely to hold myself in battle thing and then as I was cowering behind a barbarien half-orc and decided to cast a spell, my staff now a magic weapon took out more orcs than the barbarian dou and the fighter combined and on top of that, I maniaged to do more than half of the kills in one hit. After facing an entire orc army of several thousand I survived without a sigale scratch... it was a blessing of Obad-Hai himself.

Bad news, well actually Teral never had a terribly bad experience... cept for the whole almost getting eaten by a giant fish thing... and a few others invovoling things more than twenty hands tall...

Best moment EVER, Blackheart lvl 16 Sorc takes out Red Wyrm with Ray of Frost...I hit him for 3 hp :) he only had 1 hp left and I was all out of spells too I figured my +1 heavy X-bow was unlikely to hit him so I went for the touch attack and it was GLORIOUS.

Worst moment ever: My party was preparing to fiht a blue dragon of indeterminante age that was coming to level the town. I was all ready and with my wings of flying on and all buffed up I flew out to draw the dragon into the trap. With all the spells i had on me, the dragon had a 1/30 chance of actualy hitting me ... he breathes lightning...the dm rolls..he smirks and lets me see the dice...I roll the save...I fail...I fall out of the sky...I didnt let the cleric cast elemental prot on me cause i figured he would never hit me and the other party emembers needed it more... that fight ended in a draw but I found that dragon later )<!--emo&:)-->Posted Image<!--endemo-->

This is my first post and topic soooo sue me if it sucks!

This is an account of the happenings of my dnd group.
We are an interesting assortment, it includes

- a bard named Marcus
- a wizard (nercomancer) (can remember name
- a monk named Ba
- a rogue name casualty (not the proper name but more on that later
- an earth elemental (ME) named Rocky :D

So far, my best gaming moment is when i walked through a rock wall and pushed a pair of kobolds off a ledge that was 40" up.

My worst moment was when the bard rolled 2 ones and then a critical and ended up shooting me in the back with a crossbow!!! :(

The groups best moment was when the wizard cast ray of frost at a kobold and missed..... only to hit the one behind!

The groups worst was when the bard and the rogue failed their jump check and nearly drowned in a 5 foot wide 2 foot deep stream!

Nope. He was a DM that usually made some pretty bad calls.

This same guy allowed a 9th level character to kill himself accidentally while attempting to hack through a door with a battle axe...
