ahaha

Hard to say for a DM ... :P

But I think that my favorite class as a player as to be something on the fireline .... I can't stand being in the backscene and spellcasting ... I love to imagine the heat of combat on my characters....

Past characters :
Timberengen (v3) Barbarian 4 / druid 3
Theodore (v2) Paladin 4
Vincent (v2) Bard 4
...

and many ... many NPC ... much of them fighters .....

I like the ranger, but fighters and sorcerers are up there too.

I found the drunken master in The Complete Warrior to be hilarious, and the pyrokenetic in the Expanded Psionics Handbook to be just awesome. One of the requirements for it is that you've set at least one building on fire just to watch it burn. :D

First off, I'm still 3E. Not sure how they changed the classes in 3.5. But here are my preferences. I'm really a toss-up between the Psion (as modified for my campaign setting) and the Bard. I like the whole psychic feel of the psion, they're truly a class that makes use of the most powerful weapon: the mind. And I love the bard's jack of all trades appearance. Their immense knowledge and talented performances always make for great additions to any campaign.

My favourite prestige class in a toss up between Virtuoso and Master of the Wild. I like the virtuoso because of how it builds on the bard, and I love the Master of the Wild because that's what I'd like to be if real life were a DnD game. But its not. Guess I'll just have to settle for being a level 5 poet/level 1 author/level 17 student/level 2 ESL professor. :D

Easily, my Level 48 Human Wizard, Morganth Stormcrow aka 'Morganth the Mysterious'. Possessing no memory of his past before he awoke in a dark dungeon near a carved wall, Morganth has spent his known life wandering through time attempting to piece together his missing history, to no aveil. After the great war, he was accosted by a female phoenix, despite being Coltophobic, he was gifted with a daughter from the encounter, Morina Stormcrow. Despite being the handful she is when in the company of men, Morganth has grown to love her, though he recently celebrated his 452nd birthday. He rarely ventures out from his mountain cottage nowadays, if ever it is merely to venture forth to the nearby town of Beldor to gather food and check on links for information on his family.

I would have to say my fave class is the psion with telepathy as his primary discipline. There's just something to be said for rooting through the minds of your enemies (and anyone else you care to  ) and finding out all of their dirty secrets. Plus it never hurts so have some schmoe to do battle FOR you...

Blackmail is fine, of course, but it's always nicer if you can just MAKE someone do your bidding. You are right however...the art is in convincing someone to believe that it's not only in their best interests to do something, but that it was their idea as well. Too fun!

I almost always play a ranger or a ranger/rogue. I also really like paladins because they're a good fighter who gets some really cool stuff.
