Druids are my favourite...good blend of combat ability with defensive and offensive spells. The wildshape ability is handy too. I used to play as a mage all the time when I was into 2nd Ed...so the near lack of armor dosen't bother me at all.

I am a fan of rangers and rogues. I like rangers specially now, since in 3.5e, you can make a pretty deadly sniper while classing as a ranger.

I like rogue simply because I think rogues are the most versatile character in the game, and lot of rping opportunity opens up for them.

For me it's the ranger, or rogue.

I've played fighter/wizards, a barbarian, and a really cool wizard/druid (gnome) with levels in geomancer, and my current sorcerer/bard who has a sentinel as a follower (who I also play).

But, by far my favorit characters were rangers, ranger/rogues, ranger/wizards, or (the dwarf in my sig) a ranger/fighter.

Besides ranger or rogue there is the Sentinel, a paladin varriant I like. It is a varriant class from Dragon Magazine issue #320. Sentinels have turn-outsider in place of turn-undead, and summon celestial in place of summon mount. Also they have a NG alignment in place of lawful.

My favorite character ever was a halfling fighter/thief. But my favorite class ever I'd have to say is Wanderer, a Wheel of Time RPG class comparable to Rogue but with subtle differences that make it preferable in my mind.

Rangers seem to be my default class when playing D&D; I haven't had one in a while, but the bulk of my long-term characters have all been Rangers.

I think clerics are the class I've used the least, just don't seem to get into them.

My favorite class is probably the lowly little old fighter. Each one can be different depending on how you build them and on the personality behind them. 3.0 and the concept of feats helps this along; you could have a group of fighters and each of them could function differently.

The sorcerer is my favorite class by far, after that I'd have to say barbarian.

I don't really have a favorite class...most of my favorite characters are from a variety of classes.

My current #1 fave is Killian, my Bard/Sorcerer (using the Monte Cook alternatives). He's half Jim Morrison, half Leonardo Da Vinci. Some think he's a genius, others think he's mad. They may both be right...

Rangers, wizards and sorcerors. Rangers- versatile, self-sufficient adventurers. Wizards/sorcerors- masters of fearsome arcane power!

I like something that can fight, but I don't like pure Fighters, because they are just so boring to play.

The first character I ever played was a Paladin, and I've been a fan of them since. They're a good figher, but they also add other strengths to the party, especially their (limited) healing abilities. I also enjoy playing Rangers, simply because it can be useful to have ranged fighter in the party. If I do play a Fighter, I like dual-classing as a Fighter/Sorcerer, just to make it more interesting.

I enjoy playing any class, though, except for a straight Wizard or Sorcerer. I like spellcasting, but I like to be able to take a more "direct" approach to destroying enemies.

currently i am playing a sorcerer so it is my favorite, but it changes on a daily basis basically. One thing i would like to note is that there aren't many cleric lovers. although they are arguably the most helpful class being that they can kinda fight, wear armor, take some hits, and cast, but overall i would say that they are relatively boring in a group when you need to heal and stuff. i think there is a certain amount of appeal to being able to help vanquish and enemy, so if all you do all combat long is role a bunch of d8s to keep your party alive you might not think its too great. at least that's my own take.
