I'm working on creating a Peace domain to rival the War domain. I'm creating this for a god of my own creation that is a god of peace. I've noticed on some other topics that people have asked if they can use material posted. I'll just state right off that this material can be used by all.

[Domain]

Peace Domain

Deities: Holy Deg (Can be customized as appropriate)
Granted Power: You can cast Peace spells at a +1 caster level.

Peace Domain Spells:
1 Sanctuary (PHP)
2 Calm Emotions (PHP)
3 Remove Curse (PHP)
4 Tongues (PHP)
5 Atonement (PHP)
6 Word of Recall (PHP)
7 Refuge (PHP)
8 Holy Aura (PHP)
9 Deg's Antimagic Field* (Custom)

*Deg's Antimagic Field (This is a derivative of the Antimagic Field in the PHP)
Abjuration
Level: Peace 9
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 10 ft
Area: 10-ft.-per-level-radius emanation, centered on you
Duration 10 min/level (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: See Antimagic Field text

The description for the spell is almost identicle to that for the Antimagic Field Spell, except that this one has a variable size.

[/Domain]

I feel that all the spells above fit into either a physical or spiritual sense of Peace, but I don't think that Remove Curse quite fits. I'd really appreciate any input on a better level 3 spell.

About the customized antimagic field spell, I really wanted a larger area of effect. I was thinking that a high level Cleric with the peace domain really ought to be able to lay down an antimagic field to disrupt a small battle. I was also considering adding that while preparing the spell the cleric could specifiy 1 person per 4 or 5 CLs that would not be affected by the field, but that might make it too powerful. Any input on this would be great. When considering the power of the spell, remember that Antimagic Field while normally a level 8 cleric spell, is a level 6 spell as a domain spell as found in the Magic and Protection Domains (PHP 188).

Honestly, I don't see the spell level of antimagic field being any sort of problem for clerics, as it generally hurts them a lot more than it helps.

You may want to double-check for prior existence of a Peace domain. It would probably be in the Book of Exalted Deeds, and you'll definitely want to make sure it isn't similar to the published (non-OGL) version if you plan on using it widely :) The alternative, of course, being that you name it something other than Peace (ie, synonyms are your friend :D )

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Dell: We're pleased to inform you that your order was shipped on 06/06/2006!
Me: Great, so now I have Satan in my computer. Like XP wasn't problematic enough.

Thanks for the input. This is probably what I'll do then. I'll try to get my hands on that book just to check (after all, I wouldn't complain if I find something I like better).
