Well I understand everything you have said SchizofranicDM. That is why you could always make the katana dance or have a variant of the Returning feature and have it return to its sheath after dropped.

Six was just an arbitrary number that I threw out to illustrate the concept. I know that most samurai don't usually have more than one katana and have never heard of one that had more than 2, unless you want to count anime.

Speaking of Shinmen Musashi No Kami Fujiwara No Genshin, Go Rin No Sho, here is an interesting fact. He rarely used a metal sword in combat. Most of the time he would just make a wooden sword and use that in the duel he was to fight. Also, he was known for using two swords in combat, metal or wooden.

 Hey! Relax guys…

I don’t say six katanas…And this rules applies only for Rokugan, and in this scenario, we must admit this, iaijutsu is one of the bests techniques…A prove of this technique can be used in a formal combat is the 10th level ability of Iaijutsu Master prestige class, he gains a surprise round for free… :nudgenudgewinkwink:

Well I got the 6 katana idea of an anime that I watched a LONG time ago that I believe was called Yorodian Samurai Troopers (aka Ronin Warriors).

Dude... the Iaijutsu Master goes VERY well with the Iaijutsu skill... Guess thats why they call it the Iaijutsu Master eh?

I never said that this couldn't be used out of the Iaijutsu battle. I misunderstood what you were saying. As long as the sword is sheathed, Iaijutsu can be used.

All i'm sayin is, if it makes sense to you, if it makes sense to the character and the situation, the by all means, use it. after all, you are the Iaijutsu Master.
