Hello all. I am back with another class to toss otu there. This one is a PrC equivalent of a paladin dedicated to Shala, the sun goddess. Basically, it is a taint killer, and as such is geared largely toward wiping out tainted creatures.
Just for background, tainted creatures that have damage reduction always at least have x/jade. Also, while most tainted creatures exist in the eastern regions of the continent, tainted creatures include my version of goblins, ogres, trolls, undead, and a few other bizzare monsters. Generally magic beasts, animals, and humanoids begin free of taint but may acquire it through really malicious actions.
Chances are, most Sacred Bows would gather in the east where there is more taint to slay (because what's a paladin that isn't out slaying things anyway?). So without further rambling...
The Sacred Bow of Shala
If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, or questions, I'd appreciate that they post them. I am still largely workign on fleshign otu a lot of stuff in this world and it would be of great help.

What the balls? "Medium" save progression? Don't see that every day.
I had a few things to mention, but then I remembered that you're using closer to the Arcana Unearthed set than "standard" d20, so any points I may have had become void. Mainly, it had to do with skills. Anyway, ignore that.
It seems like a solid class to me. Akin to an archer paladin, yes. As for the usefulness of the class itself, I haven't really read much on your campaign setting, being busy with my own among other things, so I'm not sure how common tainted creatures are. But in that respect, you could always say you're "prepared for the worst", like the wizard who always has a quickened teleport spell memorized.
One thing, though: smite. I can see with the "shoot through walls 1/day" ability that you could smite at extreme ranges, but how far can they normally smite? I suppose a regular paladin with Ranged Smite Evil from the Book of Exalted Deeds can smite anything he can hit, so I guess it's OK either way.
I didn't see any mention of the class adding to the spellcasting ability of the character's previous spellcasting class... Does it not do that, or is the chi magic system so foreign to me that asking such a question would get me funny looks?

All good comments. I was going to leave the smite range limited only by the range of the Sacred Bow's weapon's range. As for spells, it does not progress in spells/additional chi as long as it takes levels in this class. This is more of a fighter-style class, and since you already need some spellcasting ability to enter this, you can still cast those spells. If you want to depend more heavily on spells than on this class, just take more levels in a spellcasting class. I'm not restricting multiclassing, so you can pretty much make a hybrid fighter-mage any way you want just by taking levels in different classes. That being said, don't think that the Moon/Magic god's paladin won't be rathe rup the alley of the duskblade.
