Have run and played in many different campains over the years I have found it is what the players do with the caractors not with what they are that makses the difference.

I am crrently starting a monster campain I told my players i have spefic requirments stating lvl and non evil. The place is on friges of the kingdom in a province deeded to the current duke (NPC ogre Magi 1/2 gold dragon Palidin) who helped save Put the current kings family back on the throne in his grandfathers time. Duke being of a monster race and lawfull of course believe indivduals matter and as long they obey the law they are allowed.
of course the human genral pop does not alway agree so there are those issues of coure.

I have always believed that how far a campain can go is the imagination of the plyers and balls of the DM :o

You sound like a N00b Dm to me (ogre Magi 1/2 gold dragon Palidin. Gold Dragon and Ogre?) So might I say, Monsters are harder to DM than Humans and what not. You need to remeber, the PHB was written for PHB races, and the classes are tailored to the same group of creatures. Monster Charactors take a lot of Modifyings, so dont boast about the balls, till you know just what the players can do.

But if you must play a monster character, consider investing in "Savage Species" It's a very detailed player's handbook on monster races and classes, along with DMing tips on how to handle them in your campaign.
...RAGNAROK...
I am the Apocalypse of the World, the end to its order, the beginning of chaos. The Anathema of Sanity. In me shall you find what cannot be explained. The Fires of Chaos can melt the sturdiest steel. And I shall descend from the skies in Mighty Flames to bring chaos to the order. Hinder not my path, and accept the truth behind the deception.
