For the longest time I have struggled to remove the entire class system from DND. Now be advised this system is still missing a few things, and it includes many useful resources that I have found in my internet searches...
Right now I am working on the page labelled SLBD (Soulbound Items and Creatures): The format for creating magical items, familiars, Paladin Mounts, and Animal Companions, as well as embuing one's self with magic abilities such as Supernatural powers and SLAs.
Please read this and give me some feedback.
Thanks,
Jack TIM
*Edit* Sorry about that... didn't notice that thing wouldn't let me load xls documents... anyways... here's the file...
*NOTE* New Version of Visum system... (Download now PLS)...

Uh, Senor Tim? Where would the file in question be?
And on another note: any relation between yer Soulbound stuff and my PrC? If so, neat, and I look forward to seeing it. If not... well, still look forward to seeing it.

The File is now divided up into a few different areas... The PC sheets on there will be for the Visum Version of DND 3.5 PC Sheets. New System is the main focus. Visum Templates is the character class breakdown (because you have to have some basis for comparison with existing data). Visum Data is other items of particular interest along with a few resources that I have Made/Found/Modified.

Biggest thing I think this needs right now is a walk-through. No offense Jack, but the documents are not self-intuitive to people that have no idea what, precisely, is going on right now. I'll refrain from voting right now, but in its current state it needs at least one more document in it

It look like a fair system. I remember I already saw a character points system somewhere and I will try to find it and post here the link. I like the idea but the spellcasting system was to complicated for me to understand properly. There are a few specific important things I didn't understand from the text:
What are the key ability score for spellcasting in your system?
How do you determine the caster level of spells(is it the character level or something you pay points for it)?
What is MP?
Like most other character creaton systems this one might be broken but I am not absolutly shure since I didn't understand it completly.

Well, I looked at your system and my head nearly exploded. I think a tutorial would be of much use before I vote on it. I am articularly interested in this because I am starting to look at a more RP-focused and less Level-focused game, and it strikes me that an initial point buy for character creation would be best suited to that end. Please continue to develop this and if you can include some instruction as to what in the name of the kami you are doing, I would appreciate it. (Because as I see it now, I think you actaully have 12 abilities instead of the usual 6. I could be wrong, though.)
This technique of RPG playing has been passed down the Bloodmooon line for generations!

*Edit* Also... You were right Raven... I do now have 12 Stats... most of which are replacements for old stats that I didn't like (Such as: Beauty, Presence, Sense, Will), or they were put there for new functions (such as luck, magical, and ESP). I have also dropped the saves... everything is based off of straight stat rolls (Con for Fort, Will for Will, and Dex for Refl), so no more "winchester rifle to the chest save" jokes anymore... I am also incorporating a Mortality damage system for weapons that launch Super Velocity Projectiles (cannons, pistols, laser weapons and the like)... which will be added to the system later.
Other Projects: Spell Standardization (Making a mathematical system for creating spells), Cookie Check (A random stat that changes whenever, to include even higher rates of CHAOS effect), XP retention (See documents), Baking a pie (It may be more difficult than it looks (Off topic... but fun to talk about)), and more to be listed later...
Thanks!

Raven, might I suggest you look up old GURPS (Generic Universal Role Playing System) books? Assuming you don't already have such. Since the game doesn't really have classes or levels I think it'll suit your tastes much better than any d20 game ever could. That or a variant on the Serenity RPG system (anti-d20).
As for the this system, a more detailed write-up is in order (please, use an RTF, DOC, or PDF format, especially for the info in the XLS), but at the moment the Rate of Fire system seems just a little too convoluted. And, out of curiosity, if you're going to rework the system, why keep levels at all? Why not turn all experience awards into CP, so that the character develops as things occur.
