Since armor with the "wilding" ability (I think that's what it's called... don't have it right in front of me) is made specifically to keep its armor bonus when a druid is in wild shape, would it work the same way for a shapechanger? I mean, they're basically doing the same thing as a Druid.
I have made some wereapes (elven barbarians... it's a really cool concept I read at another board), and will be throwing them at my players tonight, but I wanted to give them a little something extra.

No. Wilding would not help a lycanthrope, because it mentions by name the Wild Shape ability. Unless the lycanthrope in question is using their Wild Shape (if any, as granted by Druid or certain PrCs), they get no benefit from Wilding armor.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Me: Great, so now I have Satan in my computer. Like XP wasn't problematic enough.

Most of the time isn't armor tailored for lycanthropes made especially to accommodate their hybrid form? As in made loose around the areas that would increase in size when they changed? For instance a werewolf's armor might be a little longer then typical and have some extra slack in the sleeves to accommodate the bigger arms and taler form that is what i always did anyways. This however does not help with animal forms I'm afraid. Just a thought though.

No. In fact, the lycanthrope template specifically states that non-magical armor is destroyed when they change form, and magical armor changes with them into their hybrid form but is absorbed and rendered non-functional in animal form.
(Magical armor has a universal ability to adapt to a creature's shape within limits already)
