Well, being a military buff has nothing to do with being a tactician. In a more general sense, it just means that you prefer to see the optimum use of resources available, gaining maximum benefit with minimal loss.

Uh, isn't that called a power gamer? I see a tactician more as someone who tries to plan out the strategies and tactics the group uses in combat more than a min/maxer. Though in a way, tactics are a min/maxing of your actions.

Perhaps so, but we both managed to boost our post count by agreeing in different words, didn't we? :P :dancingbanana:

I would like to propose the motion that this topic would be pinned for future reference by both regular users and newcomers.
The most worthless line of any RPG book EVER:
"Though these two kinds of devils wield terrible powers, they have different characteristics and appearances."

Well that was a fun quiz.

Method Actor - 100%
Story Teller - 75%
Casual Gamer - 58%
Butt-Kicker - 50%
Tactician - 50%
Power Gamer - 42%
Specialist - 42%

I suppose it makes sense... I have a tendancy to play my characters role even when it slows down or hinders the game. I've also apparently scared someone from over-acting... Okay, many people, but most of those were outside of a gaming context, so it doesn't count!

That was fun. Maybe this is why my group likes my DMing.
Go ahead, throw the stone. Now watch it disappear.

And on the retake!

You scored as Storyteller.

You're more inclined toward the role playing side of the equation and less interested in numbers or experience points. You're quick to compromise if you can help move the story forward, and get bored when the game slows down for a long planning session. You want to play out a story that moves like it's orchestrated by a skilled novelist or film director.

The tie breaker said I'm a storyteller... And I might add that the major majority (w00t major redundacy) of everyone on here is in to some hardcore gaming... I still think my stats are odd.. but they do make sense...

Here's my rating.

Storyteller 92%
Tactician 83%
Method Actor 83%
Butt-Kicker 50%
Specialist 50%
Power Gamer 17%
Casual Gamer 0%

I'm old and I've been gaming a LONG time, so its natural that I've already had the power gamer beaten outa me.
