Savage Bard/Paladin of Slaughter...

Ok, it's my first gestalt character and I wanted to try something no one else would think of. Because it's a really screwy combination, and my first gestalt character to play, I declare it my favourite (for now).

I don't know what my favorite would be, seeing as how I've haven't really done too much gestalt stuff, but here are some that stand out to me:

Druid/Rogue
Fighter/Rogue
Fighter/Swashbuckler
Fighter/Bard
Barbarian/Favored Soul
And then there's always the every invincible Monk/Cleric.

Well, I always had a couple favorite combo's.

You can mix and match any of these:

Warlock
Hexblade
Swashbuckler
Warmage
Spellthief

Yeah, first Gestalt I ever played was a Swashbuckler/Warmage.... It was insane. Ahh... gotta love adding your INT bonus to every damage roll you ever made.

Samurai/Shugenja

Good times :) Admitedly not as outwardly powerful as, say, Paladin/Sorcerer, but was good all the same. RP was fun too.

How could you possibly leave out Monk/Sorcerer?

I like most the fighter/monk becouse full base attack bonus go very well with furry of blows and becouse the bonus feats realy help the monk. Even though it is not a paladin/sorcerer it is still a fair combination.
Any 2 out of shugenja, warmage, favored soul and warlock give you a vast amount of spells, and each one of them combined with paladin or hexblade make very high saves.
For a realy interesting combination wu jen/wizard make the job of the spellcaster very well.
I would say my favored is fighter/monk the second is shugenja/sorcerer

I would have to go with one of the following:

Sorcerer/Wizard
Monk/Ninja
Fighter/Monk
Sorcerer/Warmage

Hmm....

Wizard/Archivist
Sorcerer/Fighter
Shugenja/Monk
Rogue/Monk
Ninja/Rogue
Ninja/Favored Soul

These are all fun, but as I haven'tplayed a PC in years, they have been relegated to NPCs. Or observed. Though I think I wouldn't mind playing a shugenja/monk...or maybe a wu jen/monk. the latter might prove more interesting. Don't know.
This technique of RPG playing has been passed down the Bloodmooon line for generations!

I once in a humourus attempt made a Barbarian/Sorcerer, I focused on using spells that gave me a small advantage in combat.
Like True strike and mage armor and sleep for example, it seemed slightly balanced but also annoying to manage my rage and my spells keeping track of all the effects.

Its was 3rd level when I was bar2/sorc1 is when this charecter meet his maker at the hands of hobgoblin raiding party.
Said party involved 2 shamans and a 4 warriors, Apperently I pissed someone off tremendously with my charecter atitude.

Our newest campaign is all gestalt characters (Starting @ 1st level). I'm playing a Fighter/Rogue. By 6th level, I want to get into the Lasher prestige class.

If this one dies at low level, I was also thinking of a Monk/ Wizard (Necro). Hands on fighter with a bunch of touch spells. The Grafting Feat should make for some interesting roleplay.

Monk/Rogue was my favorite gestalt. Massive speed with the sneak attack ability makes for a quite monster killer. Also was a very interesting RP experience.

Another interesting combo is Wiz or Sor / Psion. Makes for a VERY good time RPing, in my opinion.
