Origins: Demons & Devils, Evil Dragons & Halflings

I'd like to suggest adding Reincarnation (not the spell, the concept) to the afterlife. If that's not already part of it. After all, life is part of the experiences of the stream, and another life in another form would give all these wandering souls something substantial to do, apart from service to the gods. It also seems like the sort of thing, given your description, that plant and animal souls would immediately do.

It also seems like you could have the spirits of the dead following their friends and decendants to render what aid they can. Ghosts and shamans and all that lot are deffinitely a possibility if they should go that route.

You also made it seem like a soul could deliberately go to strengthen their deity. It seems likely that Halflings would choose this route to empower Yondolla for the eventual liberation of her people, assuming that continued draconic expansionism didn't lead to a union of the other races in their total annihilation.

Another idea I'd just like to throw out there: Divine procreation. Can the gods reproduce? It is, after all, one of the fundamental deffinitions of life. Not in the sense of creating people, but as in simple reproduction, making more gods.

Interesting ideas. I deffinatly see the points that you are making.
As for the following friends and decendants, it is entirely possible in the current way I have it set up, only they can't directly aid the. Maybe something along the line of Channelers could contact the spirits if a friend or family member wanted to contact a dead ally? Shamans could ask souls for guidance or advice. This is something I'll work on.
As for souls strengthening their deity, I'm deffinatly supporting the idea. I just need to develop how it works. Your right about Halflings strengthening Yondalla again using their souls. As for Draconic expansion, it's currently heald back by the efforts fo some good Dragons and other celestials. It's a pretty active area :P
Divine procreation is something I didn't think about. Perhaps the children of deities are quasi-deities/hero-deities (DR 0)? Then the child of two deities could be a Demigod. I'll look into this.
