I've downloaded some floor tiles to get started, and I've found them to be *extremely* useful when describing buildings, dungeons, battle maps, etc. However, I haven't found very many out there. Does anyone know where I can get some decent (free) floor tiles? I'd also be interested in tiles for monsters, furniture, fixed weapons (ballistas), etc. I've started GM'ing again, and there are two new players in my current group. To make it easier on them, we're using the floor tiles and minis for a significant part of everything to help them visualize what's going on.

Free? nope. I've seen them in some dragon magazines as add-ons, and know of companies that sell them cheap as PDFs you can print out.

Do a Google search for free Dungeons and Dragons floor tiles or something to that effect.

I've done it and found several, but it's been a while so I can't remember the exact wording I used on Google.

Also, WotC site has a few in their Map a Week articles.

Keep in mind, if you have Adobe pdf program, any map with grids that you d'l you can zoom in on and print "Current View" and create a tile out of it. It's a bit tricky finding the right zoom so it prints as a one inch square, but I've done it plenty times.

for PDF content, you can always check RPGNow. Look under "maps", I think that's where the tiles are found.

Dungeoneering.Net has a few nice floor, but they are fairly straight forward.

There may be other links out there as well.

Just type "dungeon floor tiles" into your P2P engine and download the PDF's and images that sound promising.
