Does the 3 hit points granted only apply at the level the feat is granted? Or do you gain the three hit points on every level you advance from then on?

Thank you. :D

Only at the level you take it at. A measly three hp total.

A much better one to take is Improved Toughness, out of Complete Warrior, I think. It grants you an extra hit point for every hit dice/level you have, and it is retroactive (you get the extra hit points for levels that you had BEFORE you took the feat, too).

About Improved Toughness, does it apply to levels you gain AFTER you take the feat too?

back in 3.o, they had a couple of intersting toughness feats with the requirments being base attack bonus. It hink +9BAB allowed you to take dragons toughness, +12hp. frankly, I don't see those as broken

You still have to take Toughness as a prereq for the improved version, tho, don't you?

I think these were a feat chain, as well. They're from Sword and Fist, BTW.

No, in CW the feat improved toughness only has a preq. of a Base Fort Save of +2, meaning any fighter/divine caster type can take it first level.

Nope. The prerequisites for the other toughness feats were based upon your Fortitude. Dwarf's required a +5 to base fort, Giant a +8, and Dragon a +11.

And they were in Masters of the Wild, not Sword and Fist.
