1,000,000 gp to the victor of Woe's item creation contest.

I want you to create 1 wonderous item costing 4,000gp or less. The creator of the most inventive/useful/fun item (by my standards) will get 1,000,000 gp :) (assuming we get gp back :P )

Think low level useful items folks :)

I think this will be an excellent opportunity for us all to brush up on our item creation rules.

The contest ends next Saturday at 12 am. Winner will be announced Sunday!

Ring of the Squirrel

1/day - Summons 1d12 squirrels to your location for as many rounds as there are squirrels. They willingly serve as living ammunition, and can either be thrown or used in a sling. If thrown, they have a range increment of 10 ft, and deal 1d3-2 damage. They also latch on to their victim and continue biting every round for 1d3-2 damage until their summons is over. If used in a sling, each squirrel deals 1d6 piercing damage as the gooey remains of the squirrel lodge in the flesh of their target, slaying the squirrel.

1/week - Summons 1d6 squirrels to serve you faithfully. Forever.

Faint Conjuration, summon nature's ally I
Market Price: 2700 gp
Level 5 Nebraskan

Dell: We're pleased to inform you that your order was shipped on 06/06/2006!
Me: Great, so now I have Satan in my computer. Like XP wasn't problematic enough.

It's not like I really need the money but here is one of my favorite items. I don't know if it has appeared in any of the books or even if I made it correctly but...

Lenses of Magical Detection

The wearer of these lenses benefits from the spell detect magic. It also allows the wearer to cast identify 1/day.

Faint Divination. Cost: 2720 gp.

Bah, I dunno the price on this thing, but here goes: <_<

"Extraplanar Trap Box"
This is a small shoe-sized box that once opened, a rope will spring forth and try to latch on the victim (a touch-attack), if it succeeds the victim drops to the next smaller size category (the victim regains a size category every round not in contact with the rope) and the rope attempts to grapple (considered as a Small creature with 20 Strength), every round in contanct with the rope reduces the victim another size category until it reaches size Tiny or smaller in which case the rope would drag the victim inside the box to an extraplannar space (as with a Rope Trick spell) and the box would shut itself.
The creator may put anything it wants in the extraplannar space (harmfull things if they like :P ), or just have the rope bind the victim indefinitely.
Its nearly impossible for a trapped creature to escape by itself as it would have to brawl itself away from the rope, and try to escape from the extraplannar space to the "box", and still would have to break it to get out.
If the box were to be destroyed, any trapped victims fall outside as if the Rope Trick spell had ended.

Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, Rope Trick, Animate Rope, Reduce Person
Cost: Duh! I dunno <_<

True, but that doesn't give any of the effects of it. Plus, I was doing it in her honour anyway :P

Masterwork Dust +1

A handful of this powder can be used as a ranged touch attack that blinds an opponent for 1d4 rounds on a successful hit (Fort DC 20 for half duration, min. 1 rd.) and fills the target square with a cloud of choking dust. On a critical hit summons a dustbunny to attack the target, dealing 1 bizarre damage per round while the blindness effect lasts.

The materials for masterwork dust can only be acquired from masterwork dustbunnies, and therefore requires a very dirty room in order to grow the materials.

Almost undectable universal; Craft(alchemy) DC 2, Market Price 2 copper / handful

Its 430 in the afternoon and I'm tired. Leave me be!

hmmm....I sort of realized now that the "Extraplannar Trap Box" is acctually quite expensive, based on item-creation rules...those are 3 spells with continuous effects....so it would be (spell level)x(caster level)x2000 for each spell.

Animate Rope : 1x1x2000 = 2000
Reduce Person: 1x1x2000 = 2000
Rope Trick: 2x3x2000 = 12000

And also...considering Animate rope and Reduce Person have duration based on rounds...multiply by 4...ugh! <_<
And im sure other details of cost passed my attention

Maybe a fix would be for it to activate a maximum number of times per day
hmm....but still the Rope Trick spell would have to be continuous or it wouldnt make sense....so still its quite expensive....danm! I lose :P

Woe: DISQUALIFIED! BRING IN THE EXCECUTIONER GOLEMS!
