Duct Tape If it can't fix it it can't be fixed

Perhaps it could have a cotsly side effect. Make it cause an armor check penalty if used to heavily over the body. I'm sure there are a few places you could patch up that the tape would make it really hard to move normally.

Maybe a percentage chance to be resurrected as a tape golem if used too often, just to spice things up.

I had a friend bribe me with a pint of Cherry Vanilla Haagen Dazs for some duct tape.

It worked.

Actually, we call it Ribbon of Binding and it functions much like soverign glue and appears silver on one side, dull grey on the other. Along with the ability to stick to things, I also allowed it to make repairs to non-magical armor. It increases the AC by one point until it's original AC is reached. It does also aid in healing, allowing the character to heal an additional HP per day until completely healed.

Any other uses the players can come up with are subject to my cruel laughter, though if it's a clever idea, I'll allow it.
