Month of Tempests, 27th day, 440
As I'm ready to get some grub for lunch there's some kind of noise coming from up stairs. Opal rushes off to where the noise is coming from. Awww come on! I'm freaking hungry here! I rush after her to help and to see who the hell is interupting my stomach from being full.
When I get up the stairs right behind Opal we get ambushed by more skeletons and some zombies. They seem to be controlled by a cleric. Wonder if this is the guy we're looking for? We're hard pressed as it's harder to hack down the zombies then it is to handle the skeletons. Carlin calls out for Mordryth. I then notice that he and Ben Grad hadn't followed up after us. What are they doing dicking around downstairs for? They better not be eating all the food! Just as they get their asses upstairs with the rest of us Gwailen takes a nasty hit and crumbles to the ground. Ohhh, that's got to hurt. Hope he's alright.
Since everyone has a skeleton or a zombie occupied Mordryth sets off to take on the cleric. His first shot misses and hits the wall. He takes a second swing at him but losses the grip on his staff. It ends up flying over the cleric's head. Just when I think he's a sitting duck Carlin comes in and skewers the cleric through the heart. Mordryth owes Carlin big time.
After taking care of the cleric Mordryth checks out the two rooms up here and finds the cleric's things which include a journal. In the journal it says the prisoners left earlier and are headed south. Plus he's looking for a cube thingy. Don't know about the cube thingy but now it looks like we got more than just one bride to be with cold feet to rescue. Wonder who else they kidnapped? As we're standing around wondering what to do next the journal that Mordryth is reading blows up in his face! At first I thought he screwed something up and started to laugh. Then I relised it had knocked him unconsious. Shara and me rush over to him and she casts a healing spell on him. I guess he set off a trap but he tells me it was another wizard on the other end of another book who cast a spell through it to the one he was reading. Talk about wild. At least he's alright as is Gwailen. Would suck to lose two gang members, I mean, Companions is one day. We decide to rest up a bit before heading out to chase down whoever left earlier in the day.
