I, Nagmar son of Kerrek, set down these words so all may know of my great deeds.
After finding the nest, the boys wandered off while the rest of us went back to the Inn. I was enjoying the company of two maidens, when Jarin knocked on my door to inform me of battle. The blasted mage that assulted me with foul magic was riding out of town!
With haste, I grabed my axe and helm, alerted Opal and then gave chace on foot. After a while, the boy with the bird rode by and let me on his horse. We rode on to where the mage fell off his horse and the boy with the rat and Kern were engaged in battle with a foul beast. I let the power of the gods flow in me and joined in. No one could smite the fell beast, until it disapeared. It was all a foul trick.
I then turned my attention to the mage, who had discused him self with magic. Kern had grabed him., the boy with the bird punched him, then I attacked with my axe almost splitting him in twain. He mumbled somthing about claws or somthing, it matters not for he is dead now. I then marked him.
After that we went back into town to retrive our things. I took a bath to get the mage's blood off of me. I then enjoyed the hospatily of one of the barmaids. I get dressed and went to the other bar to meet my companions.
They had a mug of ale waiting for me, they know me all too well. The boy with the bird was drunk and asked to be trained in the use of a weapon, so that he could become a man. I agreed. Perhaps I will train both boys at the same time..
